Proposed Gibson House Renovation Information and Plans

Attached is a link to LOFT's proposed renovation of John Gibson House. For further information, please contact Ann Ball, assistant to Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone at ABall@toronto.ca.

The current understanding of the city is that the site complies with the zoning by-law - there is no reason for an Committee of Adjustment or OMB hearing. There are no variances necessary.

LOFT proposes to remove the 1950's addition to Gibson House and build a new addition within the confines, setbacks and laneway boundaries that currently exist - it is within the Planning envelope.

LOFT has been working with Heritage Perservation Services and Heritage supports the application and is working with the LOFT.

The planned renovation will expand the number of beds from 50 to 70.
