BURDOCK ALERT! BURDOCK ALERT!
If you've ever had to cut burdock burrs out of your dog's coat, your kid's hair or your own socks you know how irritating they are. Here's your chance to get back at them.
The prickly Burdock weeds are already in bloom and it's now or never for cutting them down at ground level. Our Parks staff are spread thin around the city and it seems unlikely they will be able to revisit the park in the next few days but we can make a difference.
Berries, berries, berries - wild blues, organic rasp and others - and we'l have cold drinks next week. Oh yay you say! So do we ;-) Need I say more? See you next week.
Please follow us on twitter/tbfarmersmarket for on-the-day latest.

Hello all. Looks like we may have strawberries again this Tuesday. Season is darn short isn't it? Weather should be great, so come on out. Toonie on Tuesday drive is still happening and we are almost done. Thanks to all that have dropped in a toonie/loonie/quarter into the bucket. Shout out to David G for going beyond the call of duty to faciliate some generous contributions from, White Squirrel, Capsule, TYPE books, Spice Trader and the paper place. It has definately helped take it over the hump.

Hi everyone,
As a result of the market equipment theft, we've decided to embark on a 'toonie' drive on Tuesdays to help cover the replacement costs. We will have a contribution tin or box (depending on what Caroline creates) located at our tbfm green canopy. Please contribute a toonie for the cause ;-) We be aiming for 250- 300 toonies, then we be good. Thanking you in advance!

Friends SPRING PARK DAY SUNDAY MAY 16th, 10-1pm
Just a little reminder that it's our Annual Spring Park Day! This is ‘in-the-field’ work that is the core of what the Friends are about. There's some mulching (trees & market location) planting and weeding. Also Adopt-A-Tree supah-coordinator, Michaelle will be ever present to answer questions and adopt out some trees. We displayed a great passion for the park recently, so please, all the more reason to come join in the fun. Git your gloves on, bring a shovel or pitch fork if you got ‘em, and spend a few enjoyable hours outdoors in our Park. Everybody welcome.
*Base camp is located under a green canopy with our 'Friends of Trinity Bellwoods Park' banner near the playground.
