This Sunday is Fall Park Day!

Our Annual Fall Park Day is upon us, 10am to 1pm this Sunday.
Meet us up at the Farmers Market location (Crawford/Shaw & Dundas W) to help us mulch. Bring yer wheel barrels, shovels and picks if ya gottem. After we've done the task at the market, we plant native plants in the bowl! Whoo wee, it's gonna be fun. Come join in, everyone is welcome. Rain or shine.

AND.......

GUERILLA WEEDERS GO UNTIL SNOW FLIES
Yes those kooky weeders are still at it, and will continue meeting most Sundays at 9:30am until the snow flies or the ground freezes over. If the weeds get to you too, join them anytime! Contact Michaelle at yukon99@ rogers.com or just find them in one of the beds around the park, yanking thistles, mullen and other invaders.

Fall Park Day

This coming SUNDAY October 19th from 10am to 1pm our Annual Fall Park Day! It happens rain or shine, just like our Farmers Market. Speaking of Market, this is where our focus will be this park day. We'll be mulching and weeding around the five young trees planted last Fall. As well aerating and mulching the bald spots under the areas under the trees.

3 more market days left!

Ahhhhh, the air is cooling, the kids are back in school and the leaves are turning. Fantastic Fall produce is here. A sample; squashes of all sorts, tomatoes, carrots, black radishes, regular radishes, cale, potatoes, onions, leeks, apples, pears, lettuce, arugula, beans, maybe some ground cherries/blueberries (though it's getting near their end). In addition our ever present cheeses, meats, eggs, amazing crackers, wild foods, raw foods, breads, honey and Shane's cultivated organic flowers - simply beautiful.

So. bundle up and come out for the last there (3) market days left! We go rain or shine (and cold), just like the farmers.
