BIG Yard Sale registration starts May 19th

Okay, today you can now start registering for Trinity Bellwoods Annual BIG Yard Sale. Call the Recreation Centre main line - 416 392-0743

The Annual Yard sale will take place Saturday June 14th, 10-4pm. You can register for a table by calling the Recreation Centre main line - 416 392-0743 any time starting MAY 19th. The "green space" rental has not been confirmed at this time but is expected to be about $25. There is also a $20 garbage deposit to ensure that all unsold items are taken back by the vendor

Environment Day

Saturday April 12th from 10am to 2pm the annual Community Environment Day. It's held at Fred Hamilton Park - Shaw St. South of College St. toronto.ca will have the usual details on what you can recycle, drop off, dispose of there. So clean out that basement and get going! It's a great program that we should all participate in for our environment. Free compost will also be available on first come first serve basis. It all starts in our homes!

New Blue Bin Program info opportunity with Solid Waste staff & our Deputy Mayor & TRC

Every house in Toronto will receive a new Blue Bin to replace the current blue/grey recycling boxes. There is no charge for the new Blue Bins and you must use them to receive recycling collection service. In our area, you will be receiving information in the mail about the program the week of February 11, 2008.

In order to really understand the program, see what the new recycling bins will look like, and ask any questions you may have, come to this evenings opportunity organized in our community by the City. Solid Waste staff and Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone will be in attendance.

Everybody Gets To Play is a proposed strategy that aims to:
· increase access to and participation in recreation programs, especially by children and youth
· respond equally to local community recreation needs
· re-invest in recreation programs city wide to ensure equitable access to all Torontonians.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION UPDATE
Parks, Forestry and Recreation Staff are hosting a public information update. The current off-leash area of the park has been assessed to be suitable for off-leash activities.

The purpose of this meeting is to:
- Review the People, Dogs and Park Strategy
- Review and fine tune the Off-Leash Area "Conditions of Use" with respect to Trinity Bellwoods and South Stanley Parks"
- Share ideas, comments and solutions.
