Grand Gestures An Exhibition in Three Parts

09/06/2007 - 12:00

Gallery TPW and Trinity Square Video (TSV) are pleased to co-present Grand Gestures, an exhibition in three parts by the 640 480 Video Collective. Reflecting on the rapid obsolescence of video technology, Grand Gestures, memorializes and commemorates the vain attempts we make at preserving our memories.  Two plaques will be in Trinity Bellwoods parks as part of a series of bronze plaques temporarily installed along Queen Street West between TSV and Gallery TPW.  One plaque will be located on a light post at the South East corner staircase, while the other will be on a tree at the far South West edge of the park. Each bronze plaque will contain a partial transcription and poetic description of a personal video that has been created on Queen St., which 640 480 sourced from youtube.com.
