GENERAL FALL PARK MEETING – Tues. NOV. 23rd, 7-830pm TRC
It's the Friends General Fall Park meeting. Rec Centre, 2nd floor art room, 7pm to 8:30pm. Everyone welcome. There will be reports and updates on activities and Spring Park Day planning. We are in real need for a secretary and a website guru/maintenance person. This is entirely Community volunteer work. If you think you like to contribute in either way to help sustain the Friends, please come to the meeting or contact us by email. We'd love to have you as part of our Steering Committee. And it’s good honest time spent. More info can be had at the meeting.
Agenda will be posted closer to date. If you would like to have something added to the agenda, please let us know at least 5 days prior to meeting date. Thank you.
TRANSLATION ANYONE?
Can anyone offer some written translation in Mandarin, Italian, Portuguese or any other language group you think uses the park in numbers?
The FoTBP Adopt A Tree Program would like to reach out to park users who may not speak english very well. The translated blurb would be for a little sign in the Rec Centre, on our bulletin board by the playground and the website. Basically the blurb that's on our FoTBP website -- http://www.trinitybellwoods.ca/adopt-a-tree -- or a shortened version.
The Adopt A Tree Program will be looking to expand its pool of volunteer waterers next spring in order to accommodate 30 new trees which are skeded to be planted and the (now 44) Sakura Cherry trees that will need our help.
Please contact Michaelle McLean, Coordinator/Adopt A Tree Program at yukon99 at rogers dot com or at home 416 703 3052.

Join the Clean Train Demonstration
at Metrolinx Tuesday November 16 at 9 a.m.
20 Bay St at Queen’s Quay
The Metrolinx Board is meeting, on November 16, to make recommendations to the provincial government regarding rail transit priorities.
The Clean Train message: Electrification must be the #1 rail transit priority for Metrolinx and the Government of Ontario.
• Electric trains are far less harmful to human health.
• Electric trains are more versatile so they integrate well with other public transit.
• Electric trains are less expensive in the long run.
All communities, and almost every elected representative, along the rail corridor (from all political parties), support electrification NOW.
TTC: From Union Station, take the Harbourfront LRT to Ferry Docks Station or walk south on Bay St.
